Can you identify this location?
My father took this photograph before the second world war and it is somewhere in England, but he has forgotten where. It is such a distinctive looking scene that I wondered if anyone else could identify it. If so, please let me know!

I should add that, on reflection, I don't know for sure that the location is in England. It might possibly be in Scotland.
